The Terms & Conditions for the EMS are:
 
1.

The service is open only to Indian Citizens (Individuals) residing in India aged 18 years or above, who are valid subscribers of Tata Teleservices Limited.

2.

The medium of subscribing the service is through TATAINDICOM Customer care number or Tata Indicom Website.

3. The service is in the interest of subscribers and no charges are collected from the subscribers of emergency service.
4. The service requires the subscriber to provide three telephone numbers (mobile/landline) of his/her family members or friends, to be contacted in times of emergency.

In the event of emergency, the subscriber has to dial *44. The system immediately calls and sends the message to three numbers provided by the subscriber intimating them that the subscriber is in need of help.

The subscriber understands that TTL is only a communication medium to intimate in the event of emergency the three individuals, whose numbers are provided by the subscriber that the subscriber is in need of help. TTL accepts no responsibility for the non- delivery of SMS or failure of call on account of any reason including network failure, after making three attempts.

7. TTL offers the service as a part of social responsibility and shall not be responsible, if three individuals, who are contacted in the event of emergency to help the subscriber, fail to extend help to the subscriber.
8. It shall be the responsibility of the subscriber to provide correct telephone numbers.
9. TTL reserves the right to change/modify/terminate the service any time at its own discretion and without any prior notice and without assigning reasons.
10. The courts in Mumbai alone will have exclusive jurisdiction to entertain any proceedings in any way relating to or concerning these terms and conditions or the service or any rights, duties, obligations or liabilities arising there under.
11. TTL shall not be liable for any failure to comply with the terms and conditions of the service , caused by weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, inevitable accidents, acts of God or any other circumstancesbeyond the control of TTSL amounting to Force Majeure.
12. TTL shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any subsriber if it has to discontinue or cancel the service in compliance with any law, ruling, order, regulation, requirement or instruction of any Central/State Government or for any other unavoidable reason beyond its control. The subscribers shall be informed of such discontinuance/cancellation as soon as possible, through the websites of TTL.
